The advice for close contacts at www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/keeping-yourself-safe/contact-tracing/advice-for-close-contacts is that people who are close contacts, and have a negative RAT on day 6 of quarantine, are able to leave quarantine on day 7.  This advice is in conflict with the advice the Centre has received from the Education and Care Unit.

On checking this with Education and Care today (Tuesday 18/1/22) it has been confirmed that services are to continue enforcing a full 7 days quarantine, with children able to return to care on day 8 if they have a negative RAT on day 6. We will be following this directive. We will keep you updated on any changes that may affect families.

The Approved Provider (the service) is also able to decide if it will impose further restrictions as a business decision.  We feel further restrictions are unnecessary at this stage.

Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
